[This is coming across as audio because there is no way in hell he's about to introduce himself in his underwear! So fellow users of the datapad, have a very educated sounding British accent speaking to you without any video to go along with it.]Uh, right then. I'm not entirely certain where I am, except in a very nice apartment, thank you for ( Read more... )

[And over here, we have one tall, furry humanoid. More to the point, while he does answer the question of whether or not this is where he is (it's not), it all comes out as various growls.]

[There's a moment of stunned silence as Chewie takes in the idea of what looks - to him - like a blue wookiee. Sure, he is aware of the fact that fur can be dyed, and albino wookiees do exist, but still. Blue.

He'll get to the Blackbird in a moment.]

A mutant, not a Wookie. I'm afraid, we don't have beings such as yourself where I come from.

[He manages to redirect his thoughts before they can weigh down with Hank's desire to look human and the experimental serum that backfired on him and instead drew the physical characteristics of his mutation to the surface.]

[The only question he can manage to that is mutant what? He's too used to the idea of multiple species to assume that something like Hank has to be based on a human template.]

[Charles smiles a little sadly, unable to help the thought that it should be like that and not just for the differences between mutants and humans. But in the next thought, he sends across the imagine of a singular planet, without the galactic diversity that Chewie has known all his life.

A planet with a species that at times will not tolerate a difference in accent, let alone the idea of even greater differences.]

It comes down to a fear of the unknown, my friend.

[That's... both unfortunate and depressing, and Chewie rumbles something low and sad in the back of his throat. He's sorry it has to be like that, man.]

Yes, I'm afraid I have to agree but it just means we have some growing up to do.

[It is his resolve that man can grow, that peaceful coexistence is possible. That not everything has to be fear, hatred and anger.]

[Chewie's less certain on that, especially in light of that whole Revan thing. It's a nice belief, though, even if it's not (and probably can't be) his.]

[Charles can't help a slightly sad chuckle but a gentle understanding as well.]

I seem to run into that a lot. Though if you're going to talk about embracing differences, I suppose one needs to start with being able to learn that not every ideal has to mirror your own, eh?

[Chewie shrugs. He supposes it helps, yeah.]

[Best to steer the conversation away from philosophical reasoning for now, Charles isn't entirely certain where his own thoughts completely stand at the moment. Not after the events on the beach.]

But Hank, I think you would like Hank, my friend, though I suspect he would quickly drive you a bit mad with all the questions he'd have about those mechanical images you were showing me. He truly is a brilliant, brilliant man.

[Yeah, he doubts that one too. He likes talking about ships, and the various mechanical details thereof. (He doesn't mention the fact that he's never met this person before.)]

Ah, well then I believe you two would get alone like a house on fire.

[He's forgetting that Hank would be unable to communicate as easily with the Wookie as Charles himself. However, some languages are universal are they not? Such as the love of the mechanical.]

[A house on fire doesn't sound like a particular good thing to Chewie, but he gets the general gist of the concept, even if it's a really weird phrase.]
