[ So Erik's gotten the feed mostly figured out, no thanks to some large amount of time tinkering with the damn thing and Charles being unhelpful helpful with his constant use of it to talk to several of the new arrivals. He focuses the feed onto himself, sitting at a table in the Jedi library, Charles is behind him, rifling through an impressive

Who else has Sylar killed? [ In truth, Erik is looking for what else the man can do, to build up that first set of defenses. ] People like us, anyone that's gone after him at all.

He held his tongue, Erik's questions in line with anything he might ask on his own and so he merely waited and let Claire talk uninterrupted.]

He'll probably go after my dad soon, too. [She...doesn't want to say specifically why, but it's pretty obvious that the guy has a power. But that's not her secret to share.]
He'll definitely want your power, Erik. And whatever yours is, Charles. He'll want them both.

He wants to offer the slightest bit of comfort, to reassure her that Erik wouldn't allow anything to happen, but he can't. They can't keep innocence in check all the time, not when Claire knows what happened to her, what will happen to everyone else all the same if he can't step in and prevent this from happening. ]
I can't say I'm surprised, it would only be a matter of time before he finds out what I can do. [ And what Charles can do, that telepathy of his would only be the final touch; Erik had no intention of letting Charles involved physically. ]

The thought of the man targeting Erik, Ororo hell even Logan, the tall man at his elbow was not wrong in the assertion that they needed to defend against such possible attacks.
But why Charles mused in that one quiet compartment of his head that was his and only his. What is driving this man to take on such weight. Surely it must be too much...
Setting his mind to chewing on that question, Charles brings his focus back onto Claire and he smiles, reassuringly at her.]
When compared to such things as regeneration, telekinesis and radiation, I fear that Mr. Sylar would find me a pale disappointment. Party tricks and silly games, nothing of any note.
[What? Yes, Erik, believe it or not, Charles does occasionally strategize on his feet. ( ... )

Although I can't say I agree with Peter's stance, I suppose it's one of those things I'll have to bring up if I see him again -- [ He hesitates, remembering a previous message from Nathan about his disappearance. ] -- assuming he's back. He's been missing for a while, hasn't he?

Erik's voice, the gravelly tone almost as familiar as his own, served as a thread to what was being discussed verbally.]

And yeah, the Petrellis. Peter's a lot more open and honest than Nathan is. I love my dad, but he's a politician, and he doesn't want to open up about what we are. That pretty much stinks because I think he knows a lot more than Peter does.

Perhaps it's just a matter of asking the right questions next time.

I believe I would like to talk to your father if he has availability at some point?
[As for 'opening up' about what they are, Charles gives another little inward chuckle. This girl could practically be Erik's twin sister when it came to history and philosophy. No wonder his friend was thoroughly entangled.]

[She offers the two a smile, one of gratitude. And maybe a little bit of admiration toward Erik. He's a swell guy.]
I didn't mean to turn into the girl that cried wolf on you guys, I'm just really worried about what it means if Sylar made the first move and stole my power. He keeps hidden for the most part here, and always talks to me on private filters, but he hasn't in a while. Whatever he's planning...I just want people that I care about that might be targets to be aware of what he's capable of. You know?

In the meantime it might be in your best interests if you practiced a bit more? [ Look Charles, he's not only made friends but adopted a x-baby for you. ] If Sylar does come back for you, you're better off learning to defend yourself.
[ As far as Nathan goes, it's only a matter of time. Erik's been persistent in trying to break him; a couple of attempts should be more than sufficient to get what he needs from the man. ]

I will try my utmost not to make your father uncomfortable, Claire or get you in hot water with him. Surely a conversation won't go amiss?
[He smiles at Erik and nods.] Training is very important and Erik is an excellent instructor. [How he got that out with a straight face should be worrisome.]

Yeah, he's taught me a lot. I bet he can teach me a lot more, but I'm not going to force him to play teacher. You two are probably busy building...things out of alabaster. [She's adapted creative new ways of asking for help. Guilt and flattery can get her everywhere, she's learned this.]
