And why not imply we carry these abilities? In the face of a war that's not ours, using these abilities for ourselves may very well be the reason we're still alive and not left to fend on our own.

If we're using them for ourselves, no one else needs to know about it.

Besides, I'm not certain that all Outworlders even have such abilities.

Not everyone uses their abilities for themselves. [ Erik for the most part had relied on his out of offense, or lately out of defense for a friend, but they certainly weren't out of the question on a large scale war. ]

The ones that don't however, mean nothing to me.
