Confession

Jun 09, 2011 21:00

I'm reading the Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy and I really think it sucks. I don't find it the least funny. I think it is actually rather stupid. Go ahead and tell me why I should like it because I might be missing something.

I'm not being lucky with books lately T_T so any rec is REALLY welcomed.

By the way, I'm back from paradise ;_;

My husband didn't like it either... Can't tell you why you should or shouldn't like it since I've never ready it. All I know about it is 42.

I'm currently reading Seanan McGuire's Rosemary and Rue and loving it.

I guess this kind of humor doesn't do it for me or something T_T

I'll write that one down to look for it. Thanks for the rec! :D *huggles*

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. I just can't leave a book unfinished. Especially when it's short...

Thanks *cries*

I couldn't finish it the first time I tried reading it... And never tried again. >_>

I haven't read it, but I did see the movie and didn't get what the big deal was. I will confess I don't like the Discworld books...they're just not funny to me. Monty Python, either. I think I just don't get British humor. lol Unless it's Eddie Izzard, I adore him!

Yup. I don't like Terry Pratchett either, and this thing reminds me so much of his writing. I find Monty Python funny, though. I don't think I know Eddie Izzard, bad me, will have to try him. *hugs*
