Ugh I can't believe it - Germany loses and USA is cheated out of a win. And they were genuinely cheated as well, this isn't just me defending my team. That ref, what an asshole! Was he watching the same game everyone else was? I saw at least three fouls in that sequence (did anyone else see that? candyshowers ? ) and they were all cheating Slovenia's fault! ( Read more... )

There were definitely at least 3 fouls occurring during that goal, all being committed by Slovenia. The official FIFA report claims it was because of a foul committed by Edu before he got the ball, but no footage of that has been shown. Donovan says they asked the refs numerous times why that call was made and got no answer.

I'm furious.
Not to mention that the ref of Germany v. Serbia made the most ridiculous calls all morning that lead to Klose being sent off in the first fucking half and (he and) Schweinsteiger misses the next match.

Well if they won't give an answer and they can't show us the actions leading to that call, I have to assume it was that the ref doesn't like Americans. I can't think of any other reason, I mean he had a good view of the action and there's no way he couldn't have seen that blatant cheating by Slovenia! God, I was absolutely livid. What a horrible, horrible ref.

Yeah and that Germany match ref was making horrible and uninformed calls. What was he thinking?

the ref in the germany v serbia game needs to be shot tbh. he was making the most ridiculous calls in the 1st half then after halftime he decides to be all nice. bullshit you ref.

idc but i also hate serbia now. lol.

Oh that was stupid yeah.
One of my co-workers said he was glad Ballack wasn't there because he cheats, I was like oh shut up >:[ He also cheered when Miro was sent off, I threw my soda can at him. True story!
