Germany playmaker Mesut Ozil on Sunday pledged his future to Bundesliga side Werder Bremen, despite attracting the attentions of Europe's top clubs at the World Cup.
The 21-year-old was an integral part of the team which clinched its second successive third place spot at the finals, when it beat Uruguay 3-2 in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.

Some girl went mildly bonkers on me in ontd_f because I said I want him to stay (she went on about his contract almost being up).
I'm going to be sad when he leaves next year. I'd rather he go to Barca, if Chelsea don't sign him. *selfish*

Well, I am glad he's honouring his contract, and I think right now Bremen is the place he should remain. And after that, I will still support him but it would be very hard for me to accept if he went to Man U mainly because I don't think he's right for that club and I think he would be completely wasted there. I could easily see him in Barca though.
