Holla.
Some girl went mildly bonkers on me in ontd_f because I said I want him to stay (she went on about his contract almost being up).

I'm going to be sad when he leaves next year. I'd rather he go to Barca, if Chelsea don't sign him. *selfish*

Really? She went bonkers? Why?

Well, I am glad he's honouring his contract, and I think right now Bremen is the place he should remain. And after that, I will still support him but it would be very hard for me to accept if he went to Man U mainly because I don't think he's right for that club and I think he would be completely wasted there. I could easily see him in Barca though.

It wasn't a big deal. She was just going on about how he only had a year left and wasn't going to stay at Werder after that. So, the fact that I was hoping he would stay was silly and blah blah.

A year is a year. When you want someone to stay at your club (forever), a year is not nothing.

Oh I see. I don't think wanting him to stay is silly. I love Werder Bremen and I think Mesut is good for us. Granted yes I think he might leave after his contract is up (we can always hope otherwise) but its not silly to want him to stay. I'm just glad he's with us for that long, happy to have him.
