I don't know if my story will fulfill your requirements, but I'm writing (and posting on my blog every Tuesday) Pride's Children, whose main character has CFS (as I do).

I do as realistic a view as I can of her limitations (many) - and I hope you would like the ending.

I'm curious what people with disabilities that are not exactly like Kary's will think of her story, so your comments are welcome.

I've seen the name, and know he's in Bujold's work, but haven't read that series yet.

So, he's got a congenital condition that gives him brittle bones. It's a plot point only in that it affects how he interacts with the world. I personally think she does a pretty good job handling it. Also, people have commented that he seems an awful lot lot he's got a form of bipolar, and that's *also* well-handled.
