i love having the time to actually relax. the past couple of months have been really great mixed with a little "fuck that shit" and topped of with a little depressed. but i really cant complain, school is going fine, band has wrapped up, and school will follow suit. i have been just trying to focus on band and school and it has worked out pretty

ummm...okay clark, i am speaking from the religious perspective of a jew. i know that i am not religious at all(i'm pretty much agnostic), but i do have family that is very religious and i can tell you right now that they don't follow the rules and stuff to "live forever". the jews are more centered around being good people, not pleasing a god. this is because if you are doing what you can to be a good person, no matter how big or small god will accept and love that. i think you should do some more research, especially on the religions you are not familiar with because i do think you are very smart and you are pretty good at analyzing things that you know well.

if the religion is just about being a good person then why is there even a need for a god? you can be a good person without god

i know, but thats what they are born and raised to know. read some of the stories from the Torah, it might give you more of a perspective. lots of people believe there is something more out there, and if it works for them and they aren't extremists why is it bad? sometimes its comforting to believe that there is more to life.
