Saturday was my anniversary!

That is, my one-year anniversary with my girlfriend, Anna. The funny thing is, I'd been looking forward to it since our (uncelebrated) sixth-month anniversary (no, seriously), but in the minor mayhem that was both our lives last week, I actually completely forgot about it until THE DAY BEFORE, as witnessed by this e-mail:

Aww, congratulations on the anniversary! That's awesome! Also awesome about her programme- how long will she be away? Do you both have skype on your computers? You can both video call each other for free- ah, but of course the question I should have first asked was do you both have webcam?

Ouch, that is quite a time difference... but it seems as if you have it all worked out. :-)

I love the food, too. It's yummy stuff- well, except for sushi... I'm just not a fish person. Yeah, that's going to be seriously hard at first- especially considering she is going to be in foreign country, but she'll be better than I was. She at least loves Japanese culture and WANTS to go there. She'll adapt better than me when I was forced to Brasil. I'm not a fan of the culture and the food didn't agree with me, and I had no desire to go in the first place. So when it gets hard for her just remind her to hang in there.
