Well, this audition was going to be for the lead character, who is a boy. I've heard of some troupes who will gender switch roles in well known plays, but I'm not sure the Way is ready to do that sort of theater.

Let me look through the script for other parts...there is a Pink Princess who's kind of like his sidekick, I think...

I was hopeful that Giselle's return would draw him out of his shell a little. He seems to like her, doesn't he?

I think a heroic role would be just the thing for him. Build up his confidence, get him talking to his cast mates.

And of course, you could talk to him, daddy. I think he needs someone he can look up to.
