Caelan wrapped her thin robe around her body tighter as she walked barefoot down the halls of the mansion. It was late at night, but she coudln’t sleep. There was a thunderstorm raging outside and that didn’t help either. Sighing, she pushed her hair back behind her ears, stopping suddenly and trying to listen.

He was following her.

Stiffling a smile, she turned around briefly, “JaA puff of smoke cleared and Kurt was standing beside her, “Are you all right?” His eyes were lowered, but still looking at her. As if he was afraid she would run again. ‘Well,’ she thought, ‘can’t blame him. I do have a habit of running.’ She shrugged, continuing her walk, “I’m fine. Just can’t sleep.” She kept her voice tight, knowing that if she went on in any more detail she would fall apart. And he had seen that more than enough in his time as her ‘Angel’. She felt something go around her waist, and looked to him, shaking her head, “I can’t
