Memorial day.

Oh, I had such a fabulous day yesterday. I went to see Bruce Almight with my parents which was a very cute movie, but they tried way too hard a lot of the time. It just didn't feel very well thought out. But some parts were still quite funny, particularly the parting of the red soup and the Yahweh! e-mail. It was a cute movie for a Memorial Day ( Read more... )

I'm happy to hear you had a nice day; I only wish you could have them more often. I must say that I'm very proud of you for standing up to your mother...every little bit counts and these sort of arguments--though I am sure are very unpleasant--will make things easier later on. That takes so much courage and I sincerely laud you for it. *much love and many hugs*

"I like watching the cars zoom by, and wonder where they're heading. I like pondering what the life stories are of the people inside."

aren't you the sentimental one, cosmis? i love how you are so observant of these little things. so many people these days are too caught up in their own selfish whatevers to stop and ponder, so i am glad that you are still into that lost art. and yes, it is in more ways than one, an ART.

i am glad you had such a great day, cosmis. sounds like you had a lotta fun. :) hey....you didnt see a DVD of the Japanese Ring in Tower Records, did you? (i mean, since you said that there were DVDs of foreign flicks and stuff....)

and don't forget to check out Kung Pow in the future. *hehehehe*

Awww, thank you, that was a lovely comment. :)

Yes, they did have the Japanese version of the Ring at Tower Records. The Japanese version is called Ringu here, though, and they make a big deal out of it inspiring the Dreamworks version. It's kind of funny. :) How do they market it there?

how do they market it here??? uhhhhh, the way they market any other movie. *shrug* i read though that Ringu is actually the title in japanese, because the japanhese language has no articles so that is why it is a single word. here though, the ad called it "Ring: circle of evil." *shudder*

so.......uhhhhh, you still want me to send you the jap ring? :)

Oh and I know what you mean about feeling bad for someone, but then realizing you don't always have to do something to make them feel @ [did that make sense?] haha :)

*nods* It's probably more rent worthy a movie than theatre anyhow. :)

Heh, I understood what you meant, though. :D Thanks. :)

well I ended up seeing it yesterday!
the first half was real funny I thought,
but the last half, I was crying!
I guess it didn't help I was being emotional
as it was anyways b/c of my girly thing ;)
