[Private to 341 Brady Lane]

[Dlanor is fighting a turkey. She's got it in a death grip with her gauntleted hand and a knife in the other, but it's still putting up a good fight; it slips out of her hand after a few moments, and she chases after it.]

...If your turkey begins to move, it will probably attack you. So you should take precautions.

[Cornelia nods at the order. It's strange, not answering with a "yes ma'am!" or something similar... but hey, she's still missing her vocal chords. Dlanor can forgive her for that, right?

ANYWAY. She managed to corner her own turkey, a knife in her hand. She lunges, but the thing manages to jump out of the way just in time. GODDAMNIT IT'S JUST A TURKEY WHY IS THIS EVEN A CHALLENGE?]

[Dlanor is a merciful boss! Most of the time, anyway...

She watches the turkey evade Cornelia and sighs heavily.]

These are far more agile than they appear. It appears some strategy will be in order.

[She flings the knife at one of the turkeys - it barely nicks the bird. She grabs another one from the knife rack and stares it down.]

[Cornelia is more of a defensive fighter than an offensive one, so she's not going to try any of that fancy knife-throwing. Instead, she slowly approaches the turkey Dlanor is staring down. Better to team up and take them down one by one than divide their forces, right?]

[Dlanor catches on quickly, and she takes two painstakingly slow steps toward the turkey. So far it seems to be working! She glances at Cornelia, communicating with her eyes: We strike simultaneously.

She raises her knife and holds up three fingers, then begins to count quietly.]

One...two...

[Dlanor, mid-lunge toward one of the birds, glances back at Johann and frowns.]

Please let Cornelia and myself deal with -

[While she speaks, the turkey makes an escape. She glares after it.]

...Your help would be appreciated.

[ooc: for continuity's sake, would it be okay if this thread takes place before the one above, and so before the turkeys are defeated?]

[Sure, whenever is good!]

[He waits for the bird to stop moving]

A much smaller target than I'm used to.

It's the same for me. And I've usually got...larger weapons.

[Given Mayfield's nature, she's pretty sure her swords, designed to cut concepts, will be ineffective. She grimaces at her knife.]

Yours as well, I see. A ridiculous prank, indeed. However, perhaps I should applaud the gamemaster for once again tricking this entire fragment/

I do not consider it as tricking anyone if he locked us in our houses and left us with no choice whether or not to receive the turkeys. He forced these upon us.

And yet, those who received those turkeys had quite the surprise when approaching those turkeys. [ cacklecackle ] How creative, and yet--not creative enough.
