Surprise hadn't been hiding so much as waiting for trouble to find her, assuming it was going to do so. Realizing the task was over, she'd decided to track down Barney, see where he'd gotten to. She'd assumed he was hiding somewhere, though she wasn't really sure where. He hadn't been in either of their rooms or the lounge, so she wandered out of the dorms and had a look around, spotting him almost immediately.

Sneakered feet thundered across the ground as she ran for him, entirely unaware that she was leaving a trail of rainbow coloured foliage behind her wherever she'd stepped. Her petite frame slammed into Barney when she caught up with him, wrapping arms around the man who had once proclaimed himself her catalyst.

He winced, and made a strangled sort of squawking sound when she collided with him, stumbling back a few steps and blinking in bewilderment. He looked left and right before he looked down, and wrapped his arms around her. He spotted the leaves, and blinked a bit, shaking his head before he managed a confused sort of chuckle.

"I... missed you too?" he said, chuckling a bit again.

She grinned, stretching up on tiptoe to kiss his cheek and then his lips and then ... well, no, that was getting ahead of herself, wasn't it? Flushing, she lowered herself back down to flat feet, head leaning against Barney's chest.

"Did you?" she asked, tilting her face up so she could kiss his neck now, "What did you miss about me?"

She gave a wicked little chuckle that before she'd gotten here wouldn't have even been a part of her consciousness, and nipped lightly at the skin of his neck she'd just been kissing.

He let out a soft noise of appreciation, his eyes closing slightly and a small smirk crossing his lips.

"Well this for start," he murmured lightly, before he ran his hands through her hair, smoothing it lightly. "No one... you're all right, aren't you? No one hurt you?"

He reasoned that should have been something that she should have been more concerned with earlier, rather than running to the most protected hiding place.
