Emmett was grinning pretty much from ear to ear; his brother - who had for the first time in his pathetic life gotten laid - had actually agreed to a tussle with him. They'd been up in the mountains, wrestling about for all their worth. He'd won, of course; Edward might have been faster, but when it came to strength and skill, Emmett's brute force had trumped the older vampire. Sparkling vaguely in the sun, something he rarely bothered to even consider hiding anymore - had he not spent a day shirtless on the beach? - he headed back towards the dorm when he saw a suspiciously familiar face ( ... )

Okay. He expected some sort of freaky-ness to this whole situation, but this just took the fucking cake. Other people with his abilities, sure he could be down for that. Not like his mutant powers were DNA specific. However, look-a-likes..now that would take some serious getting used to. A bit, awe-struck by the..more..what's the word he was looking for, aged? No, that seemed a bit insulting, despite not knowing this person's actual length of time on this planet thing.

When the other male spoke, that stirred Ory from his little escapism. "Uh..hey yourself." 'Wow. Oryon, way to be one with the words.' His vocabulary was always something to admire, but apparently when you were looking at a more experienced version of yourself, that whole vocabulary thing was shit the wind.

As far as what he was up to, well it's not like he was hiding exactly what he was up to. "Headed towards the Town Hall. I..need answers." He needed them now, but he didn't need to sound like he was some sort of villain especially since this person looked remotely ( ... )

His brows rose, but he could get behind that. Answers. That's what all the newcomers wanted, wasn't it? He'd wanted answers at some point, probably. Well, maybe. He didn't recall offhand.

"Need's a pretty strong word," he pointed out, "But yeah, the Hall's a good place to start. Check in, that kind of thing." He paused, tilting his head a little as he gave his quasi-twin a once over. "Anyone ever tell you that you kind of look like someone?" he asked, grinning wide.

No, that wasn't subtle at all. But since when was Emmett ever subtle? Calling the vampire subtle was like calling a diamond malleable; didn't work.

"Yeah well. I was kind of on a self induced mission before I ended up, where ever the fuck this is. I'm a little stressed, and a little peeved." His tone had come out more..snarky than he intended. But he was a bit agitated at the moment. Anyone who had just come to witness what he did, only to end up in no mans land, would probably be just as..pissed. Or so one would think. They did that often enough, didn't they? People, that is ( ... )

"Wife?" He really shouldn't be so surprised over that. He was technically a member of the dead after all, so albeit he doesn't look that much older in appearance he was probably into the near triple digits, or close to it, so a wife only made sense. Though as much as his mind prodded the idea of exactly how he kept himself entertained with his family, he really didn't need to know. Whatever floats their boat really ( ... )

"Road trips," he ventured, "No we have those..." Granted they were far faster than humanly possible and driven in impossibly fast and expensive cars, but that wasn't the point. "And I'm pretty sure Carlisle wouldn't 'ground' us for anything short of a death."

But then, it wouldn't be so much a grounding as an escape plan, maybe. Slip ups happened from time to time, despite best efforts.

"I can handle it," he added, "Wouldn't want to tucker you out your first day here."

"Yeah, well. When you freeze your sibling..parents tend to look down on that. As do they when you set your siblings hair on fire. Then of course there's the earthquakes and the tornado's.. Elementals. A parents worst nightmare." He chuckled softly. How he felt bad for his parents having to deal with them growing up. Especially he and his twin. They were pure hell as children. They were respectable. But pranksters nonetheless.

"Tucker me out? A simple run doesn't tucker me out." Their meaning of run was a very large difference but he didn't care, it'd be faster than a walk at least. "Besides, it'll get us there quicker?"

He didn't care either way. It was something to do one way or the other. That was what kept him inclined to go. "So, what are the other...inhabitants of this little..place like?"

"We have all sorts," he admitted, "Those that can fight, those who can heal, those who don't seem able to do anything but are here for other people."

He supposed that included personalities, though, and he shrugged slightly.

"Most people are pretty nice," he ventured, "There's the occasional asshole or ego to deal with ... What else? Oh, there's a lot of sex."

Well, that was a point of interest, wasn't it? How often had he walked into the lounge only to turn right back around due to activities on The Couch? Or a random hallway, or ... well.

"A lot," he added as if to emphasize.

With that Oryon just opted to back track to his dorm. Putting up a happy-go-lucky facade was draining. At least while things were all so new to him. He doubted his ability to remain so half cheery if he ran into anyone new. That and he could sense it was getting later. Odds of running into anyone now were slim to none.

Then again, in this place, it seemed anything were possible. Regardless, Oryon headed back towards the dorms. Not paying too much attention to where he was going as he kicked at a few pebbles along the way.
