Since my tumblr's dead from overload from the mere 24 people I'm following, I'll update here and hope all the relevant internet friends get to see it

I'm really sorry the cancer came back, I wish you the best of luck with the surgery, and of course with being able to concentrate on your finals before that. HUG!
I'll be hanging around to see how you're doing.
I have not so far been able to navigate my way around Tumblr.
I need to alter my LJ email filter to separate priority between updates and messages, I hadn't seen this til now.
finals were okish? Got one incomplete and everything else I believe was a C average? I really can't remember already. Too much else went on.
The surgery went alright, they did end up cutting the nerve in removing my parotid, and did a graft from my neck. I spent my thanksgiving break week recovering nicely with frequent use of straws and sterile pads. I even spent a week of winter quarter attempting to keep to a 20-hour-a-week class schedule as I'd planned (and doing quite nicely actually w/ help from the vicoden) before the hospital called to tell me I needed to undergo 6 weeks of radiation therapy.
That's when I pretty much when I broke down, dropped everything, and went back home as fast as I could. That was at least 4 weeks ago now. I've seen dentists, lab techs, radiologists, massage therapists, and all manner of medical personnel. I don't have much to say in regards to any of that that's truly good

Hello again! So sorry I didn't respond sooner. I read this on a busy day, meant to get back to you, and then didn't. For the past ten days or so, you have been popping into my head regularly, but usually when I was nowhere near a computer, like when I'm at the bank, or having coffee with someone, or in meetings at work, or riding somewhere on my bike. Anyway, the point is that I'm thinking about you and hoping you're not in pain and finding ways to keep your spirits up.
So they cut the nerve, huh? Has it affected your smile like you thought it would?
I hope you're getting near the end of the radiation therapy. One of my friends got radiation therapy about ten years ago, and I remember it made her very tired. I don't think there's any way you could have kept to your class schedule with that going on.
Best wishes and more hugs! You're very much in my thoughts.
Heh, I know how that goes. I've comments from way back (a year ago i think) that I still haven't responded to, but want to eventually. And I'm trying, but it's hard when I'm frequently left hanging with little chance for happy prospects.
Yeah, they did, and yeah, sort of. I still can't control the bottom left half of my lips, which means my smile's kinda ok, but a number of my other expressions look wonky now.
I haven't started it yet actually; they just postponed the first treatment that was supposed to be today, and the only reasonable explanation I can think of is more bad news concerning my liver biopsy from last Thursday.

Thanks, I know I'll need both. *hugs*
