How's Your Knowledge of Civics?

May 12, 2010 01:37

Take a quick test: http://www.americancivicliteracy.org/resources/quiz.aspx

I got 32 out of 33 correctly - 96.97 %, which I think is pretty good for a boy who did his elementary school in England and never had a Civics class in his life.

I'd be interested in critiques from people who were actually in the field.

You answered 26 out of 33 correctly - 78.79 %

I'm satisfied. I also was schooled outside of this country and never took a civics or US history class. I'm actually learning some of this now as I help PG-13 with her homework.

26 of 33.

I excelled in high school social sciences and history, and even earned honors on the civics portion of the Ohio 12th grade proficiency test. Although 79% is above the website's average (and well above the national average), I was still surprised that I did not do better...
