Homework

No, not mine this time, Morgan's. She gets a homework assignment every Monday, due on Friday. Historically, it's been a struggle to get even a goodly percentage of it done by Friday, with much weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth. I'm glad it's had a good effect. It can be hellaciously frustrating not to be able to focus, especially if one wants to. You're saving her lots of anguish growing up!

While medicating a child is stressful and difficult from the parents' perspective, if it works in the mean time, it's a good choice. I encourage you to really pay attention to Morgan's ebbs and flows, and to rely on her innate wisdom when it comes to her meds. My child benefited from meds for a short while, and then she elected to stop taking her pills. She is now soaring through high school and amazing everyone in her path. She's being courted by highly coveted universities.
