There's something to be said about loyalty and dedication. A great deal of people already know this, but if you are trully dedicated and loyal to a subject, be it a person, job, task, etc that it usually works out for the best. Other people in seeing your loyalty and dedication will often help you when you might not think to ask for it, because

I take it people have tried to get her into therapy and she just won't go? It sound like she has severe untreated depression.

I, in my totally not professional opinion, do not believe it to be depression, and trust me, people have tried to get her help in various forms. She's happy being miserable, because it means she can stick out her lower lip, pout, and have one of her four-thousand fanboys pay for her meal, clothes, games, etc. She'd rather not work for anything when she's got people to spoil her. It's not her fault after all that she didn't apply to a job and then not get it. And no, I'm not joking about that.
