redshirt, omar version. i could do a zillion of these, but what are your comments/thoughts insofar as this one? btw, i'm buying strobes. so come up here and have me practice lighting on you, and sip fine scotch.
Yours is better than mine because it grabs me. Yours looks much more dynamic, but unfortunately more like an overexposed myspace photo as well. I suppose it really depends on what you're looking for in the photo. I could make it look angelic or demonic. The hard part is figuring out which it would look better as. I think you chose the right direction for this one.
How did you make things so clear... and did you nuke my forehead in order to get it that way?
I'd say I did a better job on all of the patches, My creases are more natural, however you did this in I'm sure 1/8 the time it took me, also I had the full quality photo and the implied deeper textures to work with.
I was able to achieve just about what you created by using Variations to add blue, upping the contrast, sharpening, and using a lighting filter then fading that effect. I'm interested how you did it though.
Anyone else want to try? Here's the original. Post your attempt in 600x800 no more than 300KB.
nice improvement. a little too bright, in the eyes i think. it looks like you baked your forehead, are you actually sunburnt right now? =0) the sharpen tool, while i know is subjective , i dont think looks natural a lot of the time. unless its a macro shot. thats just me - it took me a long time to come to terms with that and abandon my beloved sharpening tool. lol
Yeah, this whole thing seems to be a game of subtlety. You make it stand out, but not so much that it stands out. Look at them all next to each other, they're all very different.
I thought maybe with all the websites you do, you'd be having a try.
