I like Arnie. A LOT. I loved that scene with him and Bartlet bonding over ice-cream (though I ignored the hygiene implications ;) ).

S7 does get very interesting, as Vinick has to battle the Christian conservative wing of his own party and Santos fights the charges of being too liberal, too inexperienced etc. Actually, rewatching S7 in the context of the US general election last year was a fascinating experience; there were a lot of parallels.

Also, there's a fair bit of shippery in S7 ;)

It was fairly interesting. :) I really liked the debate, if I'm honest. Though, at the end of it... Anyway, I like the way it turned out - finished the last episode today.

They brought Sam back though. :P

Like a see-saw. I was happy with the end result, though. *g*

You are not alone. I just don't find Santos inspiring. He ain't no Bartlet.

I think it's the voice. He sounds way too... soft. *g*

In the end, the only reason I really wanted Santos to win was ... well, because of John Spencer/Leo. Vinick was much more interesting.

I found that too. I think, in the end, I was happy with the result - Vinick as Secretary of State, even if it was just to please the audience. *g*
