Judging from the reactions I've caught on my flist... I'm the only one who liked Transformers 2, right?

I think... your cinematic experience may have been a little skewed. ;)

I think it was far more exciting than my movie going experience.

Wrong. I LOVED IT. I've seen it twice already. I think its as good as, if not better than, the first one, which I've now watched so much I can quote dialog and I'm still not sick of it.

Rest assured, you are not alone

What I liked: big robots, better camera coverage of big robots, special effects were special.

What I didn't like: the twee caricature twin robots, the mysogyny. (Seriously, a mother, an evil temptress and a love interest - who after being awesome and kick ass in the last movie, couldn't run without holding some guy's hand this time around? I mean wtf?!)

I missed any semblance of plot, which is to say there was awesome hints that I suspect are inside some Writer's whisky glass now having been ruthlessly edited out. Also, wtf was with sidelining all the transformer characters that we've already got investment in? And a Darth Vader like 'Fallen' as opposed to Megatron getting to be truly awesome as a villain?

I wanted to like it a whole lot more than I did :( The pretty couldn't quite make up for the rest.
