man...damn. KD's. Y'know, every now and then, because I'm an uber-dork, I get on google maps and I look for KD's, among other places, in the Lake Area. It's fun, and kills a couple of hours. You should rock that out. therapeutic, even.

Wow. That was awesome. And it makes me seriously want to get in on some of that "pathetic" too! We didn't have a too-hip-for-you coffeeshop when I was a teen, but it sounds like EXACTLY where I wanted to be! And would like to go again....I guess some people never outgrow this sort of thing. :)

I think you're right...some of us were lucky being teenagers in the 90's, in that we more or less recognized what an amazingly innocent time we were living in. I think the rest of the world, in a Post-Bush terror-soaked 21st century, are starting to realize how good we all had it. They way our grandparents complain about the passing of the 50's, and black and white television, we will one day mourn the loss of the 90's, indy coffee shop rock, and the WB network. Or maybe just me. I really do miss the WB. wierd.

No, we just had Mackie's and other pizza places. :P

Penny Lane is EXACTLY what I wanted in a coffee shop - except that since froo-froo coffee drinks are "in" now, they're a little ridiculously priced.
