I dont really know who the people are that you're thinking of, but if I had to guess I'd say that they probably just don't like you because you're so different from the norm. Even if they're kinda friendly towards you, some people still can't get over those sorts of visual differences. If it helps, I get what you mean cause I get it too. Although maybe not so much, more because of my apparently 'offensive' sense of humor.
So yeah.
