I had to clean out one of the spare rooms here today . Both spare rooms are already very sparsely populated, but I had started to overflow some of my stuff into what will be the baby's room, and the stuff had to go

Dude, you are whipped.

We had to purge books a while back, though, too. My basic rule of thumb was keep it if I expected to read it again (or wanted it for the kids one day) and thought it would be hard to replace. We didn't do a very good job purging, though, and still have 6 shelves of adult books. And hundreds of kid books.

Hey, now that you have some free space, want some kid books?

Maybe on the kid books. My mum dropped by yesterday with a bunch of kid clothes and blankets. Nic isn't sure even how to sort the stuff yet.

Wow, this reads a lot like what I had to go through recently when I moved. I had to get rid of a lot of books, but sounds like you are doing better than I. I still have the Death Gate Cycle (well, 5 of 7, I never finished the last 2). I think I still have the original 3 Dragonlance, but none of the following. The Star Wars went out, as did the other Zhan novels I picked up post his Jedi Academy Series.
