Do you know me? (Stolen from lots of people)

Part of being on LJ is inevitably gaining a number of LJ 'friends'. Unfortunately, as time wears on, it's easy to forget where all of them came from. How did you and I come to be 'friends'?

Post this in your journal too and have your friends respond with how they recall first 'meeting' you.

Dead easy, isn't it? I don't know why the first time I met you is so clear in my mind, but it really is. It was - as if you didn't know - in Freshers Week in my second year, I'd been a qualified projectionist for nearly six months and so was nearly allowed to show people the ropes. You were "unofficially" sitting in on my film (I'd forgotten that it was Monty Python) because we could tell, right from the first meeting, that you would be a great and dedicated projectionist.

I think it was via email August 2003 about a dedicated server for spod. Kelly Dorset had given you my name. We later met at the september LAN 2003.

I couldn't say for sure; probably bumped into you somewhere around the Film Unit Office in the fishbowl in 2000. Or possibly USITs RAG all-night do in 2000, when they played Quake in the Viglen Suite (although I don't actually remember you being there, I'd be surprised if you weren't...) It's possible you were at a film I was at, but I don't actually remember you doing any. I'm fairly sure I knew you to look at by the time I got a Babel account...

First time I remember meeting you was at a film I was projecting and you were ushering with intent to learn to house...

the 2000 RAG... I can't remmber that at all - I think that was after I left FU but before I got heavily involved with USIT - or was that the year after... either way, with the exception of the year we did CS I didn't do more than stick my head into the viglen suite for the quaking - I was usually too busy with FU stuff and instead got my gaming fix on the videoprojector during the sunday :)

I can't actually remember when you turned up at Sheffield, though I do remember you seeing you around Film Unit and Babel sometime around 1999/2000 ish. I think the first time I really got talking to you was when you turned up to a LAN party at my house on Cromwell St at the end of 2000 - and you were the bloke with the biggest baddest sound system in the place :)
