Actually, aside from the ending, I really liked Van Helsing.
Stephen Sommers is the god of stupid popcorn movies.

It just went too much into "too much" territory for me, but it had its moments. Gimme the Mummy movies and even Scorpion King any day. :)

Well, first two Mummy movies were by Sommers.
I did like the Scorpion King. I am curious to see #2, if for no other reason than a curiosity about Randy Coutore's acting chops.
