One of the intrigues in the fight is that for every reason you can give why Brock will definitely win, there's a reason why Randy will definitely win and vice versa.
Right now, my head says Brock, but, as always, I want Randy to win. And since I thought Sylvia and Gonzaga were both going to eat Randy alive, I'm tempted to think that somehow, Couture will pull it off. But there's no reason at all to think that Brock can't demolish Randy. The one thing Randy isn't good at is being on his back, and Brock can definitely take him down.
So, in the end, UFC gets my money.
I tend to think that Nogueira is going to beat Mir though. Mir's strength is submissions, and I don't see Big Nog being tapped out.
wooo, how can you not love the natural? he helped put mma on the map. while he's definitely got a crapload more experience, brock has the strength and the much better g and p game. it's definitely going to be interesting to see what direction that fight takes.
still, going to bow to you on this one, because i tend to pay more attention to the welterweight - light heavyweight classes.
i'm just itching for a lesner/mir battle, because they're both strong in submissions. i've seen entirely too many stand up fights lately!
Well, Mir submitted Brock in his first UFC fight. However, that was mostly due to a really crappy referee call. Herb Dean saved Mir and gave him the fight. I am guessing that, on the second go around (sooner or later, he will fight Mir, I'm sure of it), there'll be a much different result.
I'd give Brock the advantage on the ground. But Couture fought Gabriel Gonzaga and kept him standing, and TKO'd him. So its not a lock that it'll go to the ground.
Did you see the Jason MacDonald/Demian Maia fight? That was some serious jiu jitsu.

but, damn; is that man ever going to stay retired?
edit: just to say... i'd like to see lesnar win, because i want to see him take on mir (who i think is going to win against noguira).
