a lot of things are taken out of context, taken too literally... since there were many writers to the bible, and there are 2 testaments, things aren't concrete. christians don't want to admit that the bible is flawed, and that their religion is a result of an evolution from precious evolutions, but that video doesn't make many good points (it reminded me of watching that 9/11 "conspiracy" movie, loose change). i'm cautious of fluff from either side =/
Huh? Taken too literally? How so? If the book says that people who work on the Sabbath should be put to death, how is that out of context, or too 'literal'?? The book itself says that 'god' is the author, and most Xians believe this as well, so relatively speaking, that's not a concern.
This isn't 'fluff' at all, imo, and i'm really surprised that you'd label it as such! Why is it 'fluff'?
I dunno, i think he's just pointing out the obvious - it's all in the bible, all you gotta do is actually read it (which most Xians haven't.)
It's like that big hub-bub that occured over the Ten Commandments - the people who were insisting they be displayed COULDN'T EVEN RECALL WHAT THEY WERE!
Check out books from Sam Harris, "The End of Faith" really tears into Islam.
