Financial Literacy in America

Today's economy is the result of the lack of financial literacy in America and our educational systems, both public and private.  In a recent study conducted by the Department of Economics, 79% of students tested received a C or lower grade in personal finance.  Only 2 States require a course in personal finance as a high school graduation ( Read more... )

I've been playing around with a new educational model that would bring back home economic (or life skills) as a required class at every grade level.

I scoffed at home ec when I was still in school, but the more I see of the adult world, the more I think students would have benefitted from it. I did take an economics class, but we covered investing more than budgetting...at least I only remember the investing part.

The key to repairing bad credit is to write a properly formatted credit repair letters to one or all of the credit bureaus and send them out via registered mail.
