oh! I read The Road to Wigan Pier one night at my Aunt's when I couldn't sleep. I liked it quite a bit and found it very sad, though didn't finish being as I was only there a night. I think I thought very wistfully of the whole boarding room bit, though.

How dare someone take up an email address that so obviously should belong to you? It's quite the travesty. I like living in the country because you actually get to see some of the stars at night. I love London, but there's so much shit in the air you can't see a thing, and not that it's perfect anywhere else, but at least you get a better chance when you're out of the city. And you're right, it's very humbling to look up and realise how small we are in the grand scheme of things. Everyone needs a moment like that occasionally.

It is blasphemy, Kate, true blasphemy. Trust me, when you fly, the air isn't all that much cleaner anyway. It's part of the reason why it's so nice to just take off and get away sometimes. We truly live in an era of egos, I think, and it's tiring. I'm just fine with being David Rowntree, professional speck.
