Just in case you forgot what this country was like before the current government go back and listen to the Specials, UB40 in fact any punk or SKA band you could ever mention

Then 'people' should inform themselves intimately with what the change means. Tory change will sure as hell benefit me. I'll be better off for sure. Shame about those who can't help themselves...
As long as you vote I don't care who you vote for. A governement and an institution will always fail specific individuals. Its how they benefit society as a whole I base my personal choice upon.
I don't and can't defend their entire record, I'll post more about that tomorrow. I do see a stark choice between them and the opposition. If its a choice between Gordon or 5 yeas of the Estate Agent I know where the choice lies.

Oh, I do hope so - then they should be able to keep up the numbers as funding ceases to grow in real terms.
Let's quote 2 examples where the NHS is still stupid: 1) Hospital prescriptions cost less than pharmacy ones, so why are hospitals banned from filling a patient's prescriptions under most circumstances? 2) Heart operations. Gnerally speaking, the sooner you operate, the better the patient does - so costs less and spends less time in high-dependency wards. So rationing by extended waiting time is exactly the wrong thing to do if funds or beds are the issue, rather than surgeon availability.

Not to say that they haven't messed up in many ways, but the memory of the last tory government is very much in my mind, and isn't something I'd like to see repeated. And having the good stuff instead of "not them!" is a beter frame of mind.
