I just wanted to say that having been a part of the LT and running events for them, I do know where you're coming from, and yeah tabletop is currently far more interesting for me than running LRP (or attending for that matter as I am currently in hiatus from it).

But I do feel the need to say that Star War was one of the most fun experiences I've had, and I enjoyed it greatly.

It pulled me out of a massive rut when everything else was falling apart, and I thank you for playing a part in putting me back together.

So thank you Dave, I genuinely thank you.

ha ha, well I know that you've given lots of people lots of pleasure while it lasted ;-)

interesting the different aspects people cherish about games though: one of the things I love about LARPs over tabletop is downtiming, it adds an extra dimension to them as games (but, for me, very much remains a roleplaying rather than a purely strategic experience) while providing a balance to that real-life social-skills imbalance you mention

on the other hand I couldn't agree with you more about the overkill of total immersion: I love roleplaying but when I'm not doing it I really don't feel much of a need to talk about it, so I'd better stop!

Joe if he searches for Fictionauts Assemble on FB he'll find us. I'll have some web pages up soon.

How many games in Insurection are left?

I might be interested, my thought was to create a character or group pivitol to your plot and then not turn up :P

(I understand absolutly why you guys couldn't make it often enough and it was a great shame as I had plans for you all :D)
