Thank you. I'll be posting it here and on the bar, most likely.

I know that Jody and I would be more than willing to contribute. He's actually starting to earn some commissions, and all of our money doesn't need to go in to the renovations or Thomas the Tank engine toys. I'm so glad to hear that you got approved. Let me know when you've got a destination in Australia, as I've got family there.

(sternly) Chris, Tripp comes first. The entire point is NOT to exploit my friends. That's why it'll be a voluntary tip jar. I know times are tough with the recession, and I am responsible for my beasties.

Australia - if all works out will be Tas - it's coolest temperature-wise, and very low population, and relatively cheap -- important because we're going to be fairly broke by the time it's all done. It's going to basically mean starting again. But we've been there before, and the boys are de facto able to look after themselves.

and not too far away to visit Melbourne ;)

It will, in all probability, be our nearest large city. Hobart being on the far side of Tas, and Launceston being a charming place, but more like an overgrown country town than a city. It will mean that B and I will attend cons in Melbourne, definitely, as that'll be our closest. OK, I daresay we'll get to other places too.

Yes, sir! It isn't charity when it's for the non-humans who depend upon us.

As soon as you have a link to a site, let me know so I can spread it wherever I go.

I will do this. They can't do this for themselves, therefore it's our role. Like opening tins ;-)

It's clearly the reason for our opposable thumbs (opening tins, signing cheques, proper pettings, etc), and our upright posture (throwing the ball/stick, bringing home the groceries, a lap for the proper pettings, etc.).

One must understand one's position in life: within reach of the nearest quadruped. Yes.

I don't know how long it will take. The book is ready, edited, and can go. I'm hoping by the end of this month.

Thank you. I'm going to need it, but hell's teeth, better trying than not trying.
