Barbs smelled smoke last night at about 12 and as this is fire season, and our neighbour had burned off the field below us, got up and had a look.

Yeah fires here range from you can run through it or it'll roast you at 40 yards if the wind gets up. Luckily very variable winds, and we able to seize the gaps. Boy seems fine today.

how annoying the ether ate my reply. They both called and are fine - and reported the other was fine too. They're better kids than I give them credit for sometimes.

Fire was in introduced australian wattle - training? scary and dangerous.
