More fire

We had it spring to life again yesterday. I was barely in time to stop it and it burned 30 yards into our garden (about 60 yards to the house - huge garden). Then this evening again. We have a hot windy day forecast tomorrow and then possibly rain the next day....

Good luck with the fires! I remember when a fire came down the mountain in my backyard with no warning. Dad ran for the backhoe and tore up the ground around the house until the smoke made it impossible to see. He did more damage to my desert than the fire would have, but he saved the house. (Of course now the house is years gone and there's still nothing growing in the old backyard...)

And for the record, Crossed Genres will be glad to spread the word when you put your Save the Dragons & Co. tipjar out into the world. We would have made the same decision you did, and we want to help.
