Yet our new president has mutiple wives and had unprotected sex with a HIV positive 'girlfriend' and then had a shower to protect himself

I don't normally have anything good to say about South African politicians, but I like the idea of them getting deadly diseases.

It sadly appears that the disease died. This saga BTW is public record from his own mouth from his rape trial. He was aquitted, the trial looks like an entrapment, but the evidence collection was botched

Take your pick - all of these apply in various cases to varioous degrees. And that's only part of it - do you know that it was established that around 30% of SA women say 'no' when they mean yes -as this is the culturally acceptable way of doing this... gah No wonder we're the rape capital of the world :-( But we're not ready to challenge 'cultural' beliefs even if they fly in the face of human rights we claim to champion. It makes me very angry, as you may gather. We won't even go onto some of the other practices lest I incandece

It looks like South Africa needs either a Mohammed type religious leader, or a General Napier type governor. The first is incredibly rare (thank God, they're incredibly dangerous), and the second only works with Colonialism.

You're smart to do what my (German born) grandmother did in 1932, and not be there. It sucks, but staying would suck worse.

Does Anger help you write? If so, I'd love to read your take on extremely disfunctional societies.
