i think they go hand-in-hand. if you don't have ambition what gets you through the tough times in relationships? you needs goals/desire/purpose to keep you going through life
i think purpose is not at all the same as ambition, especially from a christian standpoint, we all have purpose inherantly... goals and desire are mos def important, but what can they do with no action...
i think relationships are more more integral than ambition... maybe both are important, but not equal i don't think...
and the original question is funny, dave... i think it's kinda an odd choice of "what is life about?" but interesting nonetheless...

i want to save the world with you, remember. you have a lot of those ambitions, many different and exciting ones. and of course, you need relationships to keep you going. and to show you how awesome you are and how loved you are and how to love others.
