so thom and i totally stood up Moritz tonight. He's the freaking awesome guy from Austria who is headed home tomorrow. we both fell asleep and totally woke up late, leaving the dorm half an hour after we were supposed to meet him. so he wasn't still there by the time we got there and we felt like stupid jerks

we slept in till mega awesome today and then went to whereever that area is that has the huge lantern and nakamise street and then went to that one dude from church (with the sister who's married to that guy-japanese names are hard to remember) family's house from where we could watch the fireworks, which are the biggest in japan. they went off for

so i decided to stay up a little later and put up a video. so here's a 2 or 3 minute video including aaron's goodbye, fireworks, and random clips including japanese tv.
there are so many JETs all over shinjuku. we met pat in his hotel tonight, at the same time that all of the JETs were meeting in their groups to go out. Pat and two dudes from the UK (dave-scotland, and brendan-irl/eng) went out with us instead. we went to kabuki-cho which may have been why we were so succesfull in avoiding the large herds of

so we met Pat last night at the Gotoh's house. I expected it to feel a little more weird than it did, meeting someone i know from home in tokyo. but it wasn't that weird. weird. rock. thom and i gonna eat lunch and then hang out with pat for a little inbetween his orientation things.
i guess aaron just got on the plane a little while ago. weird..d
totally missed getting up for church. i'm waiting for thom to call so i can meet up with them in shinjuku, but i don't know how long they're doing karaoke with those guys from church, and i need to go get lunch.
also, moritz, from austria is hilarious. even when he emails me. hopefully we'll get to hang out with him again before he leaves in a
word. thursday night the three of us played pool with harris, then walking through kabuki-chyo, randomly met fred (swede/brit) again. i'm pretty sure that kind of stuff doesn't happen in tokyo where there's like a trillion people, so that was pretty sweet. we all went to tiny rock bar and then did karaoke for two hours
