I was searching for a friend of mine by 'Interest', and came across this punk community, and then came across your icon. First of all...brava. John Simon Ritchie is me fave Pistol. I fell in love with his life (/death) a few years ago, and I have this question that maybe you, as a fellow appreciator, will know.

I got this padlock/chain that is an exact replica of the one Vicious wore. I've had it for about a year now, and when people ask me about it, (and get a long education on Sid *smirks*), they then ask what the 'R' on the lock stands for. Which for the life of me I have no certain clue. At first I thought it stood for 'Ritchie', but how much sense that makes, I dunno. I've used every search engine I can find, but nooobody mentions it. It's very frustrating.

I *could* ask Chrissie Hynde, but I don't know her either...

I have no idea.. I don't really care about trivial information. Nancy gave it to him and maybe she knew what it ment. Thanks about the icon though. I ganked it from someone else though.

Nancy didn't give him that necklace (contrary to the 1986 movie). Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders did (hence the mention). But then, I suppose that would rank under 'trivial information' you don't care about.

no not at all. That sounded snappy. Sorry bout that. Well shows how cool Hollywood is. I had a necklace that had an R on it and I told people it stood for "Really really cool".

Maybe the R was a company or something. The lock had to have been made somewhere.
