Annoying, awful coworkers . . . A murder case . . . A meeting with lawyers, defense attorneys . . . Images from a past I never wanted to remember . . . Quiet moments walking beneath lilac bushes, late at night, wondering whether I should take chances or not anymore . . . I taught myself to make spinach-artichoke dip, and the results were smashing.

The ivory tower as a metaphor is overrated :) I thought the Panopticon was a good choice for describing my relation to the past: all-seeing, all-judging Deity and life-gagging prison intertwined. I'm glad it ended well also, it has left me looking around and asking, "Wow, how do I live my life now?"
