Dad is currently passed out, sitting down not a few feet away from me
as I type. If he stays asleep for much longer I am bound to hear the
elephant sized snores that usually accompany his sleeping. I sleep
downstairs at this place and can still hear him sometimes. I don’t know
how Mrs. K handles it.
Two days ago I
went out for Dim Sum, or Yum Cha as it is called here. We had the usual
dumplings and pork, although we also ordered a helping of chicken feet
which I forced myself to eat. They were crunchy, but tasty enough. Not
something I would go out of my way to eat again, but glad I tried them.
That night
I headed out to Manly beach, which was an adventure in itself as I
wasn’t really sure how to get there by bus or where to go once I got
there. I love that sense of adventure you get when doing something new.
It wasn’t like I was fighting a lion or anything, but it did put a
spring in my step to know that I was venturing out somewhere and didn’t
really know how to get there. 2 buses and a short walk and I found my
destination, and I chilled along the sea wall before heading over to
the Styne for drinks with some friends.
Last night I headed downtown
to a Beer café to meet up with some people and then we headed out to
the swankiest club. It was salsa night at this place, so I showed the
girls how to dance and then we drank a few bottles of red. Yeah.
Tonight I
am heading of to a new year’s party just a hop, skip and a jump away
from the harbour bridge. We should get an amazing view of the
Fireworks, which is going to make me super happy. Happy New Year’s out
there. Let’s hope 2006 is amazing. I think we all deserve it.
