Chrismas time is one of the worst of the year:

You spend a shitload of money to make things look tacky and shit.

You spend a shitload of money on presents people won't like.

You spend a shitload of money on people you don't even like.

You get given a shitload of extra hours at work.

It's bloody freezing outside.

I was expecting that.
I like Christmas day, just not the lead-up to it.
Not actually for the presents, but because my whole family gets together for dinner. I like that.
I just don't like the whole 'bulid up' to it. I see it as a lot of nonsense.

The dark nights are nice, wrap up warm and you won't feel th cold, you get the money you spend back again from aunts-grannies etc and for all those extra hours you have to work

That is true.
Dark nights are nice, but only if there's stars in the sky.
I don't care so much about the money being gone, it's the fact that it's been spent on crap.
I refuse to believe you have never slipped on ice.
