Hooked too. Watched the first 2 episodes- WOW. Yet another fine acquistion of Channel 4's. There's so many interesting plot threads- can't wait for next Wednesday!

Lost reminds me strongly of The Island of Dr Moreau, with a bit of Castaway thrown in.

#4 appears to be correct, although often you have to be watching pretty closely to see the tie-in between characters. Perhaps as the series progresses we'll be shown more direct links.

As for #3, probably every viewer kicks around the "unwittingly dead" idea at some point in the series. Counterevidence to that hypothesis is that evidently it is possible to get more dead. One might argue that characters can "die" once they have come to terms with whatever "unfinished business" landed them on the island in the first place, but I'm not convinced that fits the pattern we've seen. It might, though, so I can't completely discount it.

There's a funny little flash song/video called the "Sawyer Song" (from the makers of the "Llama Song" if you're familiar with it) if you want a link to it. It kind of has spoilers, but it doesn't really give you any answers, just quick flashes of some things that happen in future episodes. Let me know if you want a link, it's kind of funny. *tries to remember if you wanted spoilers to HBP or not*
