as much as i see why the SWP and Lib Dems are the same sort of vote in many ways, i don't think the SWP would have done very well. The result overall is of course futile and pointless, but I imagine it's put the willies up a few complacent Manc-Labs, who have been so smug in their hold of the city for so long.
