You always strike me as just the sweetest person, but sometimes I just want to get you to be more assertive and just say no if you don't want to do something!
Uhhhhh sure... I'll do your dishes if you do the chores I do at my mom's dance studio. It's hard to say no, especially since it feels like I owe it to them, because they are letting me stay in their house rent free while I'm in school and are paying for my car insurance.
Hmmm, doesn't seem like a fair trade, but then you haven't seen my kitchen, have you?! Mwahahaha!
I don't think you should never do the dance studio chores. I just don't think you should be the only one to do them...as it kind of sounds like you currently are.
A smaller thing would be just to express that you want to continue to help, and that you would appreciate some help yourself, and then get commitments for help mopping or whatever...then if your dad is sent off somewhere or puts it off or something, you don't feel pressured to do it all yourself.
I think that actually sounds like a really good idea. You should set up a schedule for you and your dad and your mom to do the cleaning and stuff. Like a chore wheel or something.

Would you like to come over and do my dishes?
