The patter of raindrops - the gnawwing subplot

The Rain Forest Cafe CD should have worked its magic and put me to sleep. But it didn't. It's two in the morning and here I am, wide awake. Blogging.

I went to bed about two hours ago, listening to soothing sounds. Soft patter of rain. Some soft thunder. A gentle drumbeat with a synthesizer melody. I drifted in and out of sleep. That I know for sure ( Read more... )

It made me laugh when I typed it. But at 2 am you're never sure how funny something really is.

I especially have a hard time letting go of my characters when I've had some chocolate or caffeine. Or, like you, there's some flaw that's been bugging me, but I can't figure out what it is.. I usually read a bit of Donald Maas' Writing the Breakout Novel, and it gives me good ideas of what to fix. I love that book!

Congrats on figuring out your subplot issue. If all else fails, Tylenol PM works wonders..... KYM
