Promotion

I'm deep into editing my manuscript. So yesterday, when I went to my daughter's promotion, I found myself editing each speech that was given. Thinking as I was listening, "Oh, it would have been better if he said that this way..." and "Did he really need that adverb ( Read more... )

Isn't that weird when you start doing that? I once went to a book talk given by an author who had won an award for his book and had several nominations for big Canadian awards. As I was listening I was doing the same thing in my mind. Then I realized, 'Hey, I'm not even published yet and he's an award-winning author. Is that arrogance or what?'
