If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want -- good or bad. When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you. Or, if you don't want to post ( Read more... )

Standing in the old store of the Other Change of Hobbit arguing about the breakup of the Bell system (I remember you were wearing a Bell bicycle helmet) -- you with your youthful earnestness about their obscene profits, I with my employee loyalty.

I...hate to argue, but are you sure that was me? I've never been the sort to go on about obscene profits, and I don't recall ever owning a Bell bicycle helmet.

It is always possible that I am wrong. It would have been twenty years ago and as I approach 50 my memory proves even more fallible than it has been in the past.

Well, I very clearly remember you squishing me like a little beetle at Win Tom Whitmore's Books...

Well, considering it was only 3 days ago, that's not too surprising!

I'm planning to post about that too. I was having a pretty good day that day, considering that I outscored Tom himself.

(Oh, incidentally -- was it you who buzzed in with "Logan"? I didn't think to mention it at the time, but it's actually been revealed that Wolverine's real name is James Howlett.)

'Twas me. Tom Galloway mentioned that at the panel. I've read more DC than Marvel in recent years and had only heard 'James Howlett' when eXiles had a whole team of alternate Wolverines (and you can't trust what you learn about alternate universes!)

Of course, that was the question when I buzzed in too soon and it was really "What's Lemony Snicket's real name?" so "Howlett" would've been just as wrong...
