I AM attached to this show...

Yeah, the 'Life' episode "One" demands to be reviewed:

I have decided that all of the fans of the show should start a ridiculously huge e-mail and/or letter campaign to insist that NBC pick up ‘Life’. How could they not?!?!?! It is less risky than airing a brand new pilot in its place, and the ratings improved for the second-to-last episode if I am correct, so…PLEASE?

All right, time for actual comments:

I ADORED EVERYTHING. Well, okay not everything. I was pretty pissed at the end credit sequence, because I was dreading it the whole sixty minutes, but otherwise it was AMAZING.

Bobby getting to prove that given a second chance he would back-up Charlie was particularly touching, as well as Tidwell doing everything and anything to save Reese.

Seever once again impressed me. I think I enjoy her character because she doesn’t attempt to be the new Reese, but is her own individual, which is always a challenge with replacement-style characters in television programs.

The entire plot involving Charlie’s imprisonment and Tom Seybolt’s role was a welcome surprise. I had a bad feeling that the prison story line might fall victim to the Reese kidnap story line, but thankfully the two intertwined in a believable and complex way. Rayborn trying to "train" Charlie as his replacement before some unexpected events occurred that lead to his imprisonment is a FABULOUS idea, and you have to love the complexity it adds to the character development.

Roman’s death was very fitting, and I must admit that I burst out laughing. He should have known better than to sit within five feet of Charlie.

The whole "one plus one equals one" and "you plus one equals love" bit was tear jerking, though I have fears about the consequences. I have been in more than one fandom that has died a slow death at least partially due to romances between main character (The X-Files for example). All things considered, I wouldn’t mind a slow television death for ‘Life’ though, because it would HAVE to be renewed for at least one more season then…

I actually interpreted that whole exchange a little differently, so I might wait and see what other viewers took from that scene before worrying too much. I think (and may very well be wrong due to the comments about "sexual tension" from Seever last week) that Charlie and Dani have a more deep form of love, along the lines of close friendship, not sexual love… and that might be more rewarding for the viewers too. But those are just my random thoughts on that scene, mostly because I have come to prefer my fanfic to stay in fanfic… but all in all I loved the episode and will be happy however the Charlie/Dani situation is resolved!
Despite all of this, the almost hand touch was incredibly beautiful and emotional.

ALSO:The camera guy who has been doing the interviews this whole series dying at the beginning was priceless. I can't help thinking that the writers just decided to kill his character so they wouldn't have to explain his presence and why his inteview video about Charlie wasn't completed yet.

AND: Ted and Olivia = the most beautiful relationship EVER.
